Job Summary

NexGen, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler to join our team in the Upper Midwest. As a Truss Assembler, you will play a critical role in assembling truss components, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble truss components under the direction of line leaders.
  • Stock lumber, plates, and other work-related materials and supplies.
  • Band and stack finished products.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes, plate gauges, girder truss nailing, and bolt patterns.
  • Monitor production workflow process and assist other areas as needed.
  • Operate equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior carpentry experience is helpful.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
  • Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
  • Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
