Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will travel to various locations to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and EKG exams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Traveling by automobile to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.
- Following all company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams.
- Collecting and verifying required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operating portable radiologic equipment at patients' bedside or other designated exam settings.
- Determining exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
- Demonstrating safe work practices, including radiation safety and ALARA principles, infection control, use of personal protective equipment, and safe operation of x-ray generators and associated equipment.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- The ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- State-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R).
