Role Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for your specialty. Collaborating with medical professionals and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Deliver exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or a current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- Current AHA or ARC BCLS, AHA or ARC ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
- ENPC certification preferred.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN is desirable.
- 1 to 2 years of acute care/specialty nursing experience preferred.
