The Cage Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to internal and external customers at Belterra Park Gaming. This role requires superior communication and judgmental skills, as the position interacts frequently with high-limit customers and makes decisions regarding extensions of complimentary services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Superior Guest Service: Ensure every interaction includes greeting guests warmly, being friendly and polite, providing timely and knowledgeable service, finding solutions to guests' problems, using guests' names when appropriate, and thanking guests and inviting them back.
- Process Transactions: Open check-cashing cards, cash checks, money orders, cashier checks, coins, or chips for customers and employees, and handle large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received throughout the day and at the end of each day.
- Exchange Currency and Provide Guest Services: Exchange foreign currency, cash coin, handle employee pay advances, exchange coin, tokens, or gaming chips for customers, and effectively explain loyalty program structure and how to qualify for different levels of complimentary services and/or goods.
- Communicate Effectively: Perform numerous telephone functions to and from central credit, other casinos, and departments within Belterra Park, and maintain accountability over a cashier drawer.
- Resolve Customer Issues: Resolve customer service issues, concerns, or problems to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and have the resiliency to deal with difficult customers.
- Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of administering and communicating casino player-tracking programs.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must be at least 21 years old, able to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment, and successfully pass background and alcohol and drug screenings.
- Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of player-tracking system(s) and comprehension of actual and theoretical player value, ability to use all equipment associated with the position, and ability to review and comprehend player tracking screens, reports, and all other necessary information and documentation.
