The Facility Maintenance Attendant is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of public facilities, structures, and surrounding areas.

This role requires adherence to specific guidelines, protocols, and procedures, typically performed according to established practices, although detailed instructions may be provided for unique tasks or challenges.

The Attendant is expected to exercise discretion and initiative while managing routine responsibilities independently, without the need for constant supervision.

Facility Maintenance Attendants are expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow directives diligently.


Key Responsibilities

1. Cleans restrooms utilizing various cleaning agents and tools to ensure a hygienic environment for both staff and visitors.


2. Preserves the aesthetic appeal of the facility by cleaning designated areas with appropriate supplies and equipment to maintain a tidy and organized space.


3. Cleans floors and staircases using brooms, mops, vacuums, buffers, and other cleaning tools to uphold the cleanliness of the premises.


4. Conducts routine maintenance tasks by performing minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs, fixing furniture, and rearranging items to guarantee the safe operation of the facility.


5. Oversees inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment by tracking, storing, and distributing necessary items for the upkeep of the facility.


Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in cleaning services using various cleaning agents.

Experience in operating basic floor maintenance equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in completing assigned tasks within designated timeframes.

Experience in customer interaction and service.

Essential Knowledge
Familiarity with basic cleaning tools, compounds, and chemicals.

Understanding of methods for maintaining floors, including stripping, waxing, and buffing.

Knowledge of the proper handling, storage, and disposal of various cleaning agents.
