Job Overview

The Retail Merchandiser is tasked with showcasing products in a manner that captures consumer interest at our partner retail locations. This role involves servicing and maintaining various Convenience Retail, Drug, and Value accounts by merchandising authorized products and packages while adhering to safe handling practices and quality standards. The ability to follow plan sets, planograms, and effectively communicate with store management and cross-functional teams is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Stocks, organizes, and rotates products in cold storage and on shelves according to established procedures and promotional programs. Physically transports products from the sales floor to cold storage and displays. Creates and places point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted.
  • Stocks and organizes coolers within the outlet as well as any displays on the sales floor.
  • Maintains the back room cooler by organizing and arranging products by package and flavor, managing the return of empty containers, damaged, and expired products for collection, and disposing of any cardboard and plastic waste.
  • Develops and nurtures business relationships with store personnel through regular follow-ups on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, and discussions about new opportunities and upcoming activities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Previous customer service experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Merchandisers should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of effectively addressing the needs of diverse customers with varying demands and expectations.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively).
  • Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal daily supervision.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • Excellent driving record
  • Proof of insurance policy to verify current coverage of liability and property damage at no less than 50,000 per person/100,000 accident insurance per occurrence/50,000 property damage and 500 or less deductible effective from the first day of employment
