We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Farm Technician II to join our team at RWE Clean Energy, LLC. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms and related facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal performance of wind turbines and related equipment.
- Conduct acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages.
- Assist with turbine maintenance, including services, major component work, and replacement.
- Participate in safety exercises and training programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the O&M team to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution, with at least 2 years in wind turbine experience.
- Alternatively, 2-year or 4-year college degree from an accredited school in a technical science like engineering, physics, power, or closely similar.
- Wind Turbine Experience in Vestas, GE, Acciona, Nordex, etc. is preferred.
- Military experience in a technical field (electrical, electronics, or mechanical) may be considered.
- License or Certification experience substitutions include Current Journeyman, Current Master Electrician License, and Wind Tech Certificate.
- Unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
