Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role is essential in delivering exceptional nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and their families, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs systematically.
  • Evaluate situations, foresee potential challenges, and monitor changes in patient conditions effectively.
  • Adjust and refine care plans based on evolving patient information and conditions, ensuring clear communication with the healthcare team.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions, documenting all relevant information accurately.
  • Support patients and families in understanding and participating in their care plans as appropriate.
  • Assess learning needs and readiness of patients and families prior to providing education.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Administer medications and treatments promptly and document them accurately.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement to improve team and organizational performance.
  • Contribute to unit performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing, an associate's degree, or a technical diploma in nursing, with current enrollment in a BSN program or a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Hold a valid RN License from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact.
  • Maintain CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, effective time management, flexibility, and excellent communication abilities.
