We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team in the Kinesiology and Athletics department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Coaching (Physical Education/Kinesiology).
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop curriculum for Coaching (Physical Education/Kinesiology) courses
- Develop and implement effective teaching methods to engage students and promote learning
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives
- Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Coaching (Physical Education/Kinesiology)
- OR- Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
- OR- Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
- Experience teaching online courses
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Assignments may include teaching at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations. Part-time faculty positions are as needed and do not accrue rights to tenure.
