Job Description

Position Overview

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Taunton, MA. As a Home Daily Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in the region, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class B CDL tractor trailer or comparable vehicle to transport freight to designated locations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Load and unload freight as required, using manual pallet jack and lift gate equipment
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure safe operation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to ensure smooth delivery of freight

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Valid Class B CDL with endorsements for the position
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
