POSITION SUMMARY
Sensei is on the lookout for skilled wellness instructors, particularly in the domain of Yoga, specifically Aerial Yoga, who excel in delivering both private and group sessions, as well as educational lectures. The ideal candidates should demonstrate proficiency in crafting thoughtful asana sequences with a focus on anatomy and alignment, breathing practices, meditation, and the foundational principles of yoga. All instructors are expected to ensure a premium experience for our clients and will report directly to the Wellness Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering exceptional teaching and guidance to clients in both private and group settings, including class preparation and conclusion.
- Staying informed on the latest research and trends in your field to incorporate and recommend innovative techniques.
- Assessing program effectiveness through client feedback and proposing enhancements based on that input.
- Employing an evidence-based approach in your classes and lectures.
- Maintaining proficiency in necessary software systems and reporting requirements associated with your role.
- Upholding confidentiality regarding all client and program matters in line with company policies.
- Ensuring safety by adhering to established safe work practices and participating in all safety training provided by the company.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience leading group classes and providing one-on-one sessions for various skill levels.
- Bachelor's degree in health and/or physical education, with a preference for advanced degrees.

- Physical capability to climb stairs, bend, stretch, reach overhead, kneel, twist, grip items, and walk significant distances daily.
- Responsible for setting up and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work in diverse indoor and outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must possess valid work authorization.
- Ability to operate equipment such as an iPad, computer, and hand radio, and communicate via text.
Licenses and Certifications
- Minimum 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Additional certifications or experience in wellness modalities such as yoga, Aerial Yoga, meditation, anatomy, and breath-work.
