Service Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Aide to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. As a Service Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Operate self-service elevators and other necessary equipment to facilitate the performance of duties, including the delivery of supplies, medications, and food trucks to and from patient floors.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and filling stock requisitions, transporting miscellaneous supplies and equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory and supply chain management, utilizing H+H reporting systems and similar technologies to help manage equipment and supplies.
- Fill and distribute/transports requisitioned records, materials, supplies, and equipment, including food stock, cleaning supplies, medical supplies, and ground maintenance equipment.
- Maintain inventory and reorder stock as needed, moving furniture and equipment as required.
- Perform auxiliary services in hospital laboratories, pharmacies, and other special areas, maintaining grounds, cutting lawns, and shrubs, and cleaning walkways to provide a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles.
- Distribute oxygen tanks throughout and take empty containers to cages for refill, getting a count balance of oxygen tanks.
- Assist in the orientation and skills development of new staff, as required.
- Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and leaf blower.
- Proficiency in MS Office and H+H inventory systems.
