Job Summary:

The City of Plymouth is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to fill the position of Seasonal Utilities Maintenance Worker. As a member of our public works team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of municipal sewer, water, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate motorized equipment and use hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repair functions
  • Assist in the installation of new sewer, water, and drainage systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and inspecting equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field (public works, utilities, maintenance)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials
