Key Responsibilities:

The RN will:

1. Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient interactions, education for patients and families, and facilitating transitions of care.
2. Uphold professional nursing standards across various practice settings to meet the needs of patients and their families.
3. Operate within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, ensuring accountability for all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.

Professional Development:

The RN will engage in leadership activities, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives. This role may involve delegating patient care based on skill level, experience, and resource availability. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations are essential.

Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program.
- Preferred: One year of RN experience in a relevant care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.

Additional Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaborative team environments.
- Proficiency in computer systems; familiarity with electronic medical records is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and critical thinking skills.

Licensure:

- Current RN license as per state regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by state guidelines.
