We are seeking a highly skilled Budget & Performance Analyst to join our Finance department at the City of Asheville, NC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing the City's financial resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and driving strategic alignment with City Council goals.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with City departments to identify and implement innovative ideas and project management strategies.
- Monitor the City's performance in achieving the City Council's strategic priorities.
- Assist departments with data collection, management, and ensuring high data quality and governance.
- Develop systems and resolve complex problems that impact multiple departments.
- Work with the Assistant Manager and Manager to provide performance updates through dashboards and visualizations.
- Participate in cross-departmental teams with employees from all levels of the organization.
- Analyze and evaluate existing systems, policies, procedures, and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the development of performance metrics and organizational work planning.
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least two years of increasingly responsible experience in data analysis, budget analysis, project management, public administration, business administration, or related work
- Prior experience with data analytics and quality management systems preferred
- Salary: $62, $68,795.02 annually
- 13 paid holidays, 12 paid sick days, and 10 paid vacation days
