Hospital Medicine Specialist Needed

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Hospital Medicine Specialist to join our nocturnist team. As a critical member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, develop and implement effective treatment plans, and contribute to our commitment to excellence in patient care.

About the Job

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to diagnose and manage patient problems.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend therapies, considering efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes, initiating timely consultations and referrals as needed.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, assist with admissions and discharges, and offer on-call support.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Less than 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification or licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer

Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year
