Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Highland Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in California's East Bay Area. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients, working closely with our anesthesiology team to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients in surgery, labor delivery suite, and other areas of the hospital
  • Conduct patient assessments, including interview, physical examination, and chart review, to determine any risks and recommend the appropriate anesthesia
  • Assist in post-anesthesia care of patients and keep the supervising anesthesiologist or surgeon informed of patient's status
  • Participate in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in anesthesiology for introduction into the service
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum two years of full-time experience in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation and intravenous methods in an active acute hospital or clinic
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the California State Board of Registered Nurses
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association
