Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients in surgery, labor delivery suite, and other areas of the hospital
- Conduct patient assessments, including interview, physical examination, and chart review, to determine any risks and recommend the appropriate anesthesia
- Assist in post-anesthesia care of patients and keep the supervising anesthesiologist or surgeon informed of patient's status
- Participate in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in anesthesiology for introduction into the service
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum two years of full-time experience in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation and intravenous methods in an active acute hospital or clinic
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the California State Board of Registered Nurses
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association
