Job Title: Police Officer Pre-Service

Job Summary:

The City of Azusa, CA is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Police Officer Pre-Service to join our team. As a Police Officer Pre-Service, you will be responsible for patrolling the community, preventing crime, and enforcing laws. You will work closely with the community to build trust and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce laws
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and serve warrants as necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service and build trust with the community

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a California POST-certified Police Academy
  • Ability to successfully complete any re-certification course from California POST-certified Police Academy
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License and U.S. citizenship
  • Working knowledge of modern practices and techniques of law enforcement, patrol, investigation, public relations, and report writing
