Job Title: Floating Registered Pharmacist

At Hy-Vee, we're committed to providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive work environment for our employees. As a Floating Registered Pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible care and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, treating customers as the most important people.
  • Fill and/or verify prescriptions and counsel patients according to state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stocking merchandise, as well as maintaining inventory levels.
  • Participate in coaching, counseling, and training employees, and engage in additional education and training.
  • Assist with reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts, and ensure customers are given prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, communicate effectively with the pharmacy manager, and adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Requirements:
  • College degree and licensure in pharmacy.
  • Continuing education to maintain license.
  • Six months to a year of similar or related work experience.
  • Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
  • Ability to administer immunizations.
Working Conditions:

This position involves a fast work pace in a retail store setting, with occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents while compounding products and chemotherapy drugs.

Equipment Used:

PC with pharmacy software and printer, cash register, Telexon ordering unit, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.
