About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of data engineering solutions that meet business requirements and ensure data quality, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes, data transformations, and data quality checks.
  • Design and implement data architecture solutions that meet business needs and ensure data governance.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to develop data products and services that support business decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and apply them to improve our data systems.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and data migration protocols.
  • Ability to write designs for data architecture of data warehouse or data lake solutions or end-to-end pipelines.
  • Expertise in data architecture principles, distributed computing, and data governance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
  • Knowledge of Databricks, ThoughtSpot, Druid, Big Query, and ClickHouse.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB and RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres.
