Restaurant Cook Job Description

The Restaurant Cook is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Cook and package food to order, adhering to quality and quantity standards.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment, such as grills and deep-fat fryers.
  • Take delivery of supplies and verify that prepared food meets requirements.
  • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of verifiable experience as a cook.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and management.
Working Conditions:

The Restaurant Cook will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, often standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. The ability to work odd hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
