Pre-Construction Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join our team at BCI Construction, Inc. in central Minnesota. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in preliminary budgets, drafting, estimating, coordination, and maintaining of the estimating system, meeting minutes and job communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete all project documents and reports in an accurate, complete and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all government and company requirements relating to safety, health and the environment are strictly adhered to and enforced.
  • Direct and supervise activities of each project to achieve performance for quantity and quality of work. This includes on-site training, scheduling, establishing goals and standards.
  • Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, subcontractors, suppliers and the public.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years experience as an Estimator or Project Manager.
  • Education: High School education with trade or college construction management schooling.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and installation of structures to have a good understanding of customer needs and structure capabilities
  • Be proficient in business software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook etc..)
  • A strong moral compass (as best represented by our Core Values)
Preferred Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering
