Job Summary:

This position is responsible for planning and implementing habilitative/rehabilitative programs for individuals who exhibit speech/language/swallowing problems. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology and demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop goals for treatment.

• Provide direct patient care, including therapy sessions and communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.

• Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are desirable.

• At least one year of experience in an acute patient care setting, with CFY supervision available for those with no experience.
