Position Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist will utilize both computerized and manual radiological equipment to conduct diagnostic imaging as directed by the physician.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort throughout the process.
2. Perform X-ray imaging following established protocols to prioritize patient care and safety.
3. Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients and address any inquiries they may have.
4. Accurately position patients, which may involve assisting those with limited mobility.
5. Minimize radiation exposure by employing lead shields where necessary.
6. Ensure high-quality imaging to avoid repeat procedures.
7. Maintain radiological equipment in optimal working condition and report any malfunctions promptly.
8. Document completed imaging procedures and manage routine paperwork efficiently.
9. Keep examination rooms organized and stocked with essential medical supplies.
10. Develop and process radiological films, ensuring timely delivery and retrieval.
11. Participate in mandatory staff meetings and educational sessions.
12. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
13. Perform additional duties as required to meet organizational standards.

Qualifications:

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited AMA School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current State C.R.T. license; A.R.R.T. certification preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience as an X-ray Technician preferred.

Skills:
- Proficient in patient positioning and identifying equipment issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for operating equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
- Vision correctable to 20/20 for operating equipment and reviewing films.

Knowledge:
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to X-ray testing.
- Familiarity with radiology equipment and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.

Work Environment:
- Operate in a well-lit medical office setting with potential exposure to biohazards.
- Frequent interaction with a diverse range of individuals.
