Job Title: Student Tutor

Join the University of Central Oklahoma as a Student Tutor and contribute to the academic success of our students.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Tutor to provide academic support to students in the Department of Sociology, Gerontology, and Substance Abuse Studies. The successful candidate will work closely with the instructor to assist students in understanding course material and provide a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in understanding course material presented in-class and/or online
  • Work with the instructor to support student comprehension and learning
  • Communicate effectively with students and the instructor
  • Be flexible in scheduling tutoring sessions
Requirements:
  • Must have already taken SOC 4043/5043 - Sociological Statistics and/or SOC 4773/5773 - Sociological Research
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions
