Phlebotomist III Float Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist III Float to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Melbourne, FL. As a Phlebotomist III Float, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and a willingness to work in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients and prepare them for lab testing
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required
  • Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees
  • Travel to additional doctors' offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
