We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
About the JobAs a Diesel Mechanic with our company, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of diesel road equipment. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing complex issues with our vehicles.
Your primary goal will be to ensure that our fleet is always in top condition, while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
You will work closely with our maintenance team to identify areas for improvement and implement new procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle history and maintenance schedules
- 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic experience or 2 years with refrigeration certification
- Strong understanding of diesel mechanics and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 120 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- $26.00 per hour salary
- Benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K
