About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.

Job Summary
  • Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process
  • Coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety
Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in discharge planning and education for patients and families
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by identifying and reporting potential risks and hazards
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • One year of experience as a professional RN (new graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the RN Residency Program)
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification in clinical specialty
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Long Term Care experience
  • Membership in professional organization
