Our Advanced Digital Design organization is at the forefront of creating the next generation of communications and signal processing systems. You'll work with a talented team to design and develop complex systems, from concept to working systems, aboard the world's most advanced platforms.

We're looking for a highly skilled Digital Engineer with hands-on experience in FPGA Development with VHDL. You'll be responsible for verifying FPGAs or ASICs using VHDL, developing verification plans, creating testbenches, debugging HDL, and performing simulations with Siemens Questa Simulator or similar tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify FPGAs or ASICs using VHDL
  • Develop verification plans, create testbenches, debug HDL, and perform simulations with Siemens Questa Simulator or similar tools
  • Collaborate with a talented team to design and develop complex systems
  • Drive innovation and excellence through Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor STEM discipline; 7 years of relevant exp with a Masters STEM discipline; 4 years relevant experience with PhD
  • Experience verifying FPGAs or ASICs using VHDL
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AMD/Xilinx 7 series (Zynq, Kintex and Ultrascale) family of devices
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA)

Tools:

  • Vivado, Quartus, QuestaSim
  • Experience with scripting languages and tools for Verification automation (Perl, TCL, Bash, and Makefile)

Salary Range:

$146,300 - $219,500

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
