Job Summary

Pure Infusion Suites is seeking a skilled RN Infusion Nurse to join our team. As an RN Infusion Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Your expertise in patient care management, organizational skills, and effective communication will be essential in ensuring the seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Administer biologics and other infusible or injectable medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort, while meeting established volume benchmarks.
  • Infusion Therapy: Start and discontinue PIVs for infusion therapies, access and deaccess central venous lines such as ports and PICCs as needed.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare medications, including mixing as required, and administer them accurately according to manufacturer instructions or provider orders.
  • Patient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to evaluate patient needs and response to treatment.
  • Patient Education: Offer appropriate patient education regarding medications, treatment procedures, and potential side effects to promote understanding and adherence.
  • Triage and Communication: Triage patient inquiries related to infusion therapy, addressing concerns and coordinating follow-up care as necessary.
  • Policy Compliance: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and compliance with all policies and procedures related to job duties and patient care.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including ordering and maintaining medication and medical supply inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for patient care.
  • Clinical Reviews: Conduct clinical reviews on all incoming orders to ensure patient safety and compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with prescriber offices to maintain positive communication and relationships, facilitating the exchange of patient information and treatment plans.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Work closely with ancillary departments to streamline processes related to patient services.
Requirements
  • Nursing Experience: Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, with infusion experience preferred.
  • Nursing Assessment Skills: Demonstrate strong nursing assessment skills, with the ability to conduct thorough patient evaluations and patient education.
  • Drug Dose Calculations: Excel in drug dose calculations, ensuring accurate medication administration and patient safety.
  • Hypersensitivity Reactions: Demonstrate the ability to confidently and effectively manage hypersensitivity reactions swiftly using appropriate interventions per protocol.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Display proficiency in collaboration and teamwork, contributing positively to a team.
  • Customer Service and Patient-Centered Care: Show dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and patient-centered care, prioritizing patient needs and preferences.

  • Age Range: Knowledge and ability to treat and care for patients 12 and older.
Education and Licensure
  • RN Degree: RN Degree, BSN Preferred
  • Nursing License: Current nursing license for applicable state
  • BLS Certification: BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Eligibility Requirements: Ability to meet U.S. employment and eligibility requirements
