We are seeking an experienced Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our Pediatric Surgery team at The University of Iowa. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the advancement of our department's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients on the Pediatric Surgery Service, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement outpatient treatment plans, including admissions, pre- and post-operative management, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality assurance and research endeavors, and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices in pediatric surgery, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing program with Pediatric Primary Care certification.
- Active Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state of Iowa.
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
- Two years of experience in Pediatric Surgery or a related field.
