We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our 3rd shift team at our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, including shrink wrap machines, shrink packaging, and protective packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to prevent downtime and ensure optimal efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust as necessary to resolve issues with our equipment.
- Setup and Configuration: Set up full line configurations and ensure all machinery is operating at optimal efficiency.
- Maintenance and Repair of Flexible Packaging Machinery: Troubleshoot and repair flexible packaging machinery and equipment, including shrink wrap machines and protective packaging equipment.
- Utilization of Tools and Equipment: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Safety and Quality: Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement projects and other related activities as assigned to improve processes and efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members to meet deadlines and achieve results.
- Education: High School Diploma is required, while an Associate's degree in a technical field or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics; familiarity with Programming Logic Controllers (e.g. Allen-Bradley, B&R, Siemens); experience in extrusion (blown film), printing (flexographic), and plastic sheet converting is desired; understands lean manufacturing principles; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and be results-oriented; team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
