Job Summary
The Bar Back is a key member of our team at Barcelona Wine Bar, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bar area. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Bar Maintenance
- Assist the bartender with all bar maintenance tasks, including cleaning and restocking of glassware and supplies.
- Sanitation and Safety
- Ensure that all proper sanitation practices are enforced when taking care of the bar.
- Waste Management
- Dispose of trash and bottles according to restaurant procedure.
- Supply Management
- Restock all inventory: beer, liquor, wine, juices, glassware, etc.
- Cocktail Preparation
- Prepare all fruit/garnish for all cocktails on menu.
- Customer Service
- Deliver cocktails to guests in a timely fashion (if needed).
Requirements
- Education
- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience
- Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
- Physical Demands
- Be able to stand, twist, kneel, and move around for the entirety of a scheduled shift.
- Be able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Be comfortable frequently using hands and wrists.
