About the Role:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing basic level patient care and treatments, assisting with obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaints, and alerting physicians of problems or concerns.

Responsibilities include performing simple patient procedures, setting up exam/procedure rooms, preparing and administering medications under direct supervision, and obtaining lab specimens and requisitions.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the workflow of Medical Assistants, obtaining authorization for referrals, and conducting front desk duties such as registration, check-in, and scheduling of patients.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program are required. Demonstrated experience with computer programs utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients is also necessary.

American Heart Association BLS certification is a must.
