Maintenance Director Assistant Job Description

Brookside Care Center seeks a skilled Maintenance Director Assistant to ensure the facility's maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure the facility remains in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for Life Safety Code compliance.
  • Policy and Procedure Review: Review the department's policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Assistant Administrator/Administrator.
  • Maintenance and Repair Oversight: Ensure proper planning, direction, participation, and supervision of both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in the facility, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical work.
  • Supply Chain Management: Purchase general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment within budgetary responsibilities and train others in their use.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure that services performed by outside vendors are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders.
  • Fire Safety Program Management: Ensure the facility's Fire Safety program complies with the 2012 version of the Life Safety Code and Health Care Facilities Code, including fire drills, training on the facility's fire safety plan, safe use of oxygen, and electrical safety.
