Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) for our Neuro unit at HCA HealthONE Aurora, you will collaborate with the director to lead a team of medical professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Director to provide leadership and play a role in fiscal, human resource, and operational functions.
  • Participating in department and hospital strategic planning and implementing new programs and services effectively.
  • Maintaining an effective competency and staff development program, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, including payroll processing, managing department expenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employee evaluations, and managing personnel issues.
  • Assisting in maintaining a departmental staffing plan that meets customer needs and responds to changing census demands.
  • Ensuring an appropriate skill mix and staffing levels according to volume demands.
What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this position, you must have:

  • A current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
  • TWO years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the unit are preferred.
  • Six months of leadership/management experience are required.
