Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at ClarkDietrich. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and utility systems. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a team of maintenance employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and utility systems.
  • Provide training and mentoring for all maintenance employees.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities and employee tasks based on communication from the Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinate planned downtime with operations teams and scheduler to complete maintenance in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure that workflow and daily tasks are assigned and completed.
  • Interface with production managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel regarding equipment problems and evaluate machine operation variations to diagnose problems or to repair machinery.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Facilitator to ensure that appropriate maintenance/repair parts are readily accessible for critical production machinery and facilities.
  • Ensure that work areas and general facilities comply with ClarkDietrich safety standards.
  • Maintain department computer and documentation systems through organizing, controlling, and updating as required.
  • May fill in for the Maintenance Manager in their absence and manage the facility in the same capacity as the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensures that all safety requirements are met by all employees. Correct all unsafe acts and/or conditions.
  • Promotes ClarkDietrich core values through actions as a role model.

  • Demonstrates a sound work ethic and actions that are necessary for continued advancement.
  • Promotes employee unity through his role as a team leader.
  • Any other duties required by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Problem solver.
  • Team oriented.
  • Basic computer skills, i.e., email, search engines, upload/download documents.

Work Environment: Manufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and cold. Personal Protective Equipment required at all times. Hearing Protection Required at all times. Activity level is high -- continuous movement, majority of time is spent on the production floor.
