Job Summary

As a Podiatric Hospitalist, you will provide direct patient care by reviewing patient medical history, collecting and prioritizing comprehensive data, and synthesizing information pertinent to the patient's health or situation. You will work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, providing education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialize in care of conditions of the foot, ankle, and related structures of the leg.
  • Manage all limb salvage and other inpatient podiatric consults, including performing all necessary surgeries.
  • Function as a key team member for a multi-specialty team with vascular surgery, internal medicine, and infectious disease.
  • Review patient medical history, collecting and prioritizing comprehensive data, and synthesizing information pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
  • Provide education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
Requirements
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine.
  • Completion of a 24-month residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in a program approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME).
  • 0-2 years of demonstrated experience in the designated specialty area.
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier - Multisource.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource.
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource.
  • Licensed Physician - WI.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS).
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate.
  • Prescription Monitoring Program.
  • National Provider Identifier.
