About the RoleWe are currently recruiting an MRI Scanner Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health, a leading healthcare organization committed to transforming healthcare for the benefit of the communities we serve. As an MRI Scanner Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, working closely with radiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MR Scans: Conduct magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans as directed by radiologists, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate results.
- Patient Interaction: Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff to gather essential information, provide clear instructions, and address any concerns or questions.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Ensure that MRI equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and prepared for procedures, adhering to safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality control tasks to guarantee optimal performance of MRI equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaboration and Education: Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, and other staff members to enhance patient care and contribute to ongoing education and training programs.
To be successful as an MRI Scanner Specialist, you must possess:
- A degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT registration in Radiology, with MRI registration within one year of hire; or ARMRIT certification.
- BLS certification.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
