Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Supervisor to oversee our comprehensive recreation program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, budgeting, managing, and evaluating programs, operations, and personnel for the Recreation Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent of Recreation in overseeing the year-round recreation program.
  • Supervise a full complement of part-time recreation staff.
  • Manage and coordinate sports leagues, sports clinics, special events, adult and youth programs, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Plan, budget, and evaluate recreation programs, ensuring quality service and community engagement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee outdoor facility management, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Park/Recreation Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of recreation program supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification through the National Recreation and Parks Association preferred.
  • Other: Valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within 3 months.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $61,444 - $73,456, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation.
