Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Therapist to join our team at Methodist Family Health. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide direct clinical services to students in a school setting, including diagnostic assessments, individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention, and collateral intervention.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in cooperation with clients, families, and treatment team members.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to teachers, principals, and counselors.
  • Participate in departmental and program treatment team meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
  • Collaborate with administrative support and utilization review staff to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing authorizations for services, and transfers/discharges.
  • Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with organization, department, and program policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely communication verbally and in writing with supervisor, colleagues, clients, families, schools, courts, and other professionals within and outside the organization.
  • Work with other professionals and programs within the MFH continuum of care and/or other outside organizations and agencies to coordinate the best and most appropriate treatment for MFH clients.
  • Maintain professional licensure by completing required continuing education and providing copies of updated license and CEU certificates to Human Resources.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed, in good standing, by Arkansas Professional Board as an LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LPE, LPE-I, or PhD.
  • Desired qualifications include experience working in a school-based or community-based behavioral health setting, working with at-risk youth, and being Trauma Focused CBT certified or in progress.
Working Conditions

The individual employed in this position may accept other reasonable assignments, which may be necessary, for efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.
