We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Moss Point School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating progress in speech and language areas for students K-12 throughout the district.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify, evaluate, and remediate any disabilities in the areas of articulation, language, voice, or fluency.
  2. Coordinate activities with regular education or special education teachers to ensure a quality education for each student.
  3. Work cooperatively with staff in planning speech-language remediation activities.
  4. Conduct therapy in accordance with state and local policies.
  5. Prepare therapy plans and monitor student progress.
  6. Maintain contact with parents to keep them updated on their child's progress.
  7. Initiate evaluation procedures for students needing services.
  8. Attend IEP meetings and prepare documentation for student files.
  9. Monitor supplies and notify personnel when materials are needed.
  10. Provide a positive role model for students, parents, and community members.
Terms of Employment

This is a 187-day position with a salary commensurate with experience, as determined by the Moss Point School District's policies and procedures.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated annually, in accordance with the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of district personnel.
