A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing friendly and efficient service to both pet owners and their furry companions. Your professionalism will help build trust with our clientele as you manage reservations, address inquiries, and resolve any issues that arise.
In this role, you will warmly welcome clients as they arrive, attentively listen to their needs, and ensure that all instructions regarding their pets are followed. You will handle billing and daily cash reports with precision and care. Given that pet care is at the heart of our operations, you will also assist with various pet care tasks as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment filled with interactions with both pets and people.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Proficient in computer applications, including in-house software, email, Word, and Excel
- Ability to accurately retain and recall information
- Compassionate handling of animals
- Genuine love for both people and pets
Experience in a pet care environment is advantageous but not mandatory. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, teamwork spirit, reliability, and strong communication skills. If you are organized and can effectively prioritize tasks, you may be the ideal candidate for this role.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WORK SCHEDULE
Consistency is vital for our animal guests, so we emphasize the importance of minimal absenteeism. Our front office operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays (with scheduled pick-ups in the late afternoon).
This part-time position requires flexibility, with an expected commitment of 20-30 hours per week. Availability during holidays and weekends is essential, as these are peak times for our services.
