Camp Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Camp Nurse to join our team at the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. As a key member of our summer camp staff, you will provide essential health care and first aid services to our campers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide health and first aid services to campers and staff in a safe and nurturing environment
• Respond quickly and effectively to accidents and incidents
• Accurately prepare and submit Accident and Incident Reports
• Assist other camp staff members in the provision of health and first aid services
• Train and supervise staff on health and first aid care procedures and policies

Requirements:

• Current certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and American Red Cross First Aid
• 1+ year of experience in working with youth and teens
• Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or a Licensed Physician preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmental stages and ability to apply knowledge to effectively care for campers and staff
