Cardiovascular Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Cath Lab Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our cardiovascular team by assisting with equipment management, patient transport, and performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Management: Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, ensuring it is available and functioning properly for procedures.
- Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to and from designated areas within the facility, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Performance Improvement: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with clinical staff, patients, and families to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Monitoring and Interpretation: Monitor and interpret EKGs prior to and during procedures, ensuring accurate patient data.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BCLS and EMT-P certification required; ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year of paramedic experience preferred.
