We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and upkeep of all physical assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise the activities of staff engaged in maintenance, general repair, or construction activities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for all facilities, including scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources, and source supplies, services, and contracts for maintenance.
- Evaluate and inspect buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, making recommendations for repair, renewal, or replacement.
- Plan, execute, and oversee multiple small maintenance construction projects simultaneously, and assist with the design, cost estimating, and planning of larger renovation and infrastructure construction projects.
- A high school diploma and at least five years of professional experience in facility maintenance, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with building repairs and maintenance, and a supervisory role.
- PREFERRED: A degree in facilities maintenance, facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field, and certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP).
