Job Summary:

The New York State Department of Financial Services is seeking a highly skilled Investigator to join our team. As an Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting complex investigations into criminal and fraudulent activities in our regulated financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations into alleged criminal and fraudulent activities, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed.
• Review and analyze financial documents, reports, and other relevant data to identify potential areas of concern.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent and detect financial crimes, working closely with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging risks and trends in the financial services industry.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in law enforcement or a related field, with a strong background in financial crimes investigations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and laws, including the Banking, Insurance, and Financial Services Laws.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
