Job Description

Halpin Staffing Services is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to oversee our company's payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and information.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks.
  • Communicate with clients, associates, and internal staff regarding payroll matters.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones and scanning paperwork.
  • Handle timekeeping software and online time sheets.
  • Process credit cards and bank transactions.
  • Prepare monthly management reports.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new software and systems quickly.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Pay rate: $20-$25/hour
  • Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
