We are seeking a skilled Medication Aide to join our team at Meridian Behavioral Health. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a nurse.
- Verify patient identity and record medication administration on specified forms.
- Monitor patient response to medications and report any unexpected reactions to designated personnel.
- Document reasons for not administering prescribed medications.
- Restock medication inventories and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Training in medication administration.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- On-going training in cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
