Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care. This role is crucial in providing exceptional care in a high-acuity environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: PALS/BLS
Job Responsibilities
  • Unit: Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
  • Facility: Methodist Children's Hospital
  • Emergency Room: 24-bed capacity
  • Staffing: Variable based on patient census and acuity
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
  • Equipment: BAXTER MEDFUSION PUMPS, HOSPIRA INFUSION PUMPS
  • EMR System: MEDITECH
Qualifications
  • Experience in PCVICU/PICU nursing is essential.
  • Ability to manage ICU assignments, including care for intubated and ventilated patients.
  • Preferred experience with PICU patients who have congenital heart defects.
  • Experience with managing multiple vasoactive infusions is advantageous.
Unit Specifics
  • Floating Areas: NICU, Pediatric Surgical Unit, Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs (No T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, or Hoodies permitted)
  • Guidelines: Unit policies and procedures will be outlined in the PCVICU/PICU Handbook.
